Lisa Mcgowan – Director / Speech Therapist
Lisa is the Director at LTL and after a past life organising tycoons decided to re-train as a speech and language therapist. Her particular interest groups are ASD, learning difficulties, trauma and young offenders. Educated at University of St Mark & St John in Plymouth, Lisa has degrees in Philosophy, Theology & History and Speech & Language Therapy.
She is keen to promote the importance of functional communication to enable clients to develop social confidence, particularly for those with ASD, trauma and learning difficulties.
Lisa has been a carer and is aware of the challenges faced by those around her clients. She believes passionately in the importance of functional communication so everyone can be included in their community. Currently, Lisa works with those with autism, challenging behaviors and trauma in a special school environment and teenage children in mainstream schools.
